Apple, Google, Amazon, and Facebook have a combined market cap of $2.6 trillion, and they are without question the most dominant companies in technology. But that doesn't mean they can't be toppled. Just look at IBM, Yahoo, MySpace, and even Microsoft. New players could well come along and claim the crown, and if that happens, it could be because of the technologies that will shape the next decade.
